Leading The Brain Diverse Workplace

A brain-based leadership programme designed to help leaders embrace and support brain diversity in their teams

What is The Brain Diverse Workplace?

A highly interactive and energetic 2-day workshop on how the neuroscience of leadership can improve leadership excellence, organisational culture, team synergy, creativity, communications and effective problem solving in the brain-diverse workplace. Unleash your leadership energy and influence by being aware of how your brain works through the neuroscience of leadership, and consciously train your brain to enhance workplace communication, synergy, creativity and productivity.

An Introduction to Why Brain-based Leadership Is Pivotal

When faced with an ambiguous situation like change or challenge, the brain thinks that you are being attacked. When it feels threatened, the brain enters into the same stress response as it did to keep our ancestors alive from threats like predators, from the prehistoric ages, mainly because the brain cannot tell the difference between an attack from a wild animal as compared to a stressful emailor a looming deadline. To keep you safe, the brain automatically shuts off its logical function, severely impacting how you perceive and react to your environment, and you start reacting "without thinking"

“A brain under threat cannot strategise, collaborate or be creative - all fundamental drivers of effectiveness, productivity and innovation”

Academy of Brain-Based Leadership

To make sense of an ambiguous situation, our brain will process the information around it, so it can gain clarity to know what to do next. What most of us are unaware of is that how our brain does this may differ from a colleague or team member's, making our workplace, a Brain-Diverse one. This difference, if left unaware, can lead to frustrations in communications, conflict and blame within teams, and misunderstood expectations, which all lead to an unproductive work environment
